Refund Policy
This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued for consulting services provided by Gavin Harris, a self-employed consultant, to small nonprofit organizations. The goal is to ensure transparency, fairness, and mutual understanding between the consultant and clients.
Scope of Services
This policy applies to all consulting services offered, including but not limited to strategic planning, grant writing, fundraising support, organizational development, and training sessions.
Refund Eligibility
-
Service Not Delivered: If consulting services are not delivered as agreed upon in the signed contract or proposal, the client may be eligible for a full refund.
-
Cancellation by Consultant: If the consultant cancels the engagement before any work has commenced, a full refund will be issued to the client.
-
Cancellation by Client: If the client cancels the engagement:
-
More than 7 days before the scheduled start date: A full refund will be issued, minus any non-recoverable expenses already incurred (e.g., travel bookings).
-
Less than 7 days before the scheduled start date: A 50% refund will be issued, minus any non-recoverable expenses.
-
After work has commenced: No refund will be issued for work already completed. Refunds for incomplete portions of services will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
-
Dissatisfaction with Services: If the client is dissatisfied with the quality or outcome of the services, the consultant will make reasonable efforts to address concerns. If a resolution cannot be reached, a partial refund may be offered at the consultant’s discretion.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing within 14 days of service delivery or cancellation.
-
Refund requests should include a clear explanation of the reason for the request and any supporting documentation.
-
The consultant will review the request and respond within 10 business days.
-
If approved, refunds will be processed within 14 business days via the original payment method.

-
Non-refundable deposits or retainers, if specified in the contract, will not be refunded unless the consultant cancels the engagement.
